A New Rhythm for a Sent People
At our family meeting back in March, I shared a vision for a new rhythm in the life of our church: Gathering & Scattering. While we do a beautiful job of scattering throughout the week into our community groups, we know all too well the challenges of our Sunday "Gathering." With our time constraints and the rush to accommodate the next congregation, our time for deep, whole-church fellowship is often cut short. This new initiative is designed to help fix that, fostering a more vibrant and deeply-connected community. Every three months, we will pause our normal routines to "Gather" as one body for a four-week window of intimate gatherings, featuring focused study and discussion, before "Scattering" back into our groups for the following six weeks.
To kick off this first "Gathering" cycle, we are diving into a series through the month of May, beginning Thursday, May 7 at 7:00 PM, titled "Missional Christianity." This study is designed to help us understand that "Scattering" isn't just about going home after service, or dividing into our community groups—it’s about living as a "sent" people. Together, we will explore how ordinary Christians are called to participate in the mission of God in their daily, ordinary lives.

What is your specific role in God's plan to reconcile and restore all things in Christ? This four-week study and discussion series moves us from being spectators to active ministers in our daily, ordinary lives. Together, we will redefine "missions" to include the neighbors on our own doorsteps. We’ll learn to view every sphere of life—from our workplaces to our dinner tables—as a personal mission field. Join us as we look to Jesus, our missional prototype, to learn how to live as "living letters" of God’s love. Discover how to effectively share the hope of the Gospel in your unique communal, relational, and vocational contexts.
