Joe Ellison / Worship Director
Joe was born in Chicago as the youngest of 8 kids and moved to California in the ‘80s when his mom met his stepdad. A pivotal moment for Joe was when a childhood Sunday school teacher grew frustrated with his clowning around and reminded him of eternity and taking Jesus more seriously. At sixteen, Joe started playing guitar which led to majoring in music at Point Loma Nazarene University (PLNU) in San Diego. While serving on the PLNU chapel worship team, he discovered a passion for worship and music. Along with being on staff at Regeneration Church and working in ministry for decades, Joe leads and plays in Run With Patience, an international traveling band that has played abroad in countries including Mexico, France, Serbia, and Ukraine and soon will travel to Scotland, Ireland, and Africa. Cheryl Gärlick / Associate Pastor to Children and Families
Cheryl became a follower of Jesus at 16 years old and has been blessed over the years by participation in many "flavors and styles" of Christian churches. She attended college at UC Irvine receiving a degree in Psychology, and seminary at the Graduate Theological Union earning an MDiv at American Baptist Seminary of the West (now called Berkeley School of Theology). Cheryl is ordained in the United Methodist Church. She loves studying scripture and exploring human flourishing; Cheryl is a spiritual director, exploring faith with adults, youth and children, and her happy place is meeting Jesus in scripture with a circle of children. Cheryl also loves to spend time with her husband and 4 young adult children. She loves redwood trees, the ocean, black tea and dark chocolate. Albert Lee / Lead Pastor
Albert was born in NYC and raised in Los Angeles before coming to the Bay Area. Albert graduated from Azusa Pacific University, attended the pastoral school at Calvary Chapel Golden Springs, and has been with Regeneration since 2000. Albert lives with his wife Katy, his daughters Isabella, Siena, Genevieve, and Mackenzie in an undisclosed Ninja commune. Contact Albert at albert@regenerationweb.com.

Stephanie Leung / Ministry & Operations Administrator
Stephanie is a Bay Area native and realized that she was a Californian after leaving to study art in Baltimore, Maryland (MICA). When she returned, Oakland’s beauty and spirit drew her in, along with her own history. She finds renewing hope in the saving gospel and compassion of King Jesus. It reaches out and calls to each of us- the outsider, those on the edges, the disillusioned- to be part of the Church, the beautiful bride of Christ. With God, nothing in our stories is wasted. Arlyn Ranillo / Bookkeeper
Arlyn came to know Christ through Campus Crusade at the University of the Philippines. She and her husband, Jonathan are active in the Filipino community assisting churches with evangelical events. She has four children, Kat, Kitchie, Kezia and Jarius. Arlyn has been living in Oakland for the past 25 years and has been helping churches and non-profit organizations with their finances.
