Regeneration Elder Board
Eric grew up in SoCal attending a Chinese-American C&MA church. He started attending Regeneration while a student at Cal, back when students got picked up from the curb in an unmarked white van to go to church at a night club with bean bag chairs for pews. There's not a corner of this church Eric hasn't crawled through or swept or wiped down. Eric, his wife Jen, and daughter Paulette live in Oakland, where they enjoy easy access to tacos and ice cream.
Mark grew up on the island of Oahu in Hawaii. After getting married, he and his wife Jodi moved to New York City where he cooked for the multitudes in the NOLITA district of Manhattan. After their first son was born, they started their next adventure in the East Bay in 2014. By God’s grace and overflowing provision they found a home, church, community, purpose and fulfillment in this neighborhood of Oakland. Mark is the stay-home parent to their two boys Chairo and Emet, and finds importance and joy in feeding and sharing the table with his community and church body. In his free time, Mark enjoys training in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
Nathan joined Regeneration in 2012 when he arrived in Oakland, starting over with few connections and sorely in need of community. At Regen Nathan found spiritual family, a renewed sense of mission, and met his wife, Andrea. Prior to life in the Bay Area, Nathan was raised in Bogotá, Colombia, attended Wheaton College, and served in the Peace Corps in Albania. He is passionate about worship, creative collaboration, and multiculturalism in the Kingdom of God.
