Funk Town Farm

Welcome to the Farm.

History

In 2007, we cleared out a bunch of concrete behind the church community center with sledgehammers and sweat, got a tree cut down and made some planter boxes, started composting coffee grinds and vegetable peels, and started growing our own vegetables! We grow lettuces, tomatoes, kale, zucchini, nopales, herbs, beans, sunflowers, cucumbers, and anything you might want!

In 2008, we started raising chickens in our very own "egg-lay-cia de iglesia" chicken coop. We now have 26 chickens, and chicken sponsors who clean the coop, gather the eggs, and feed the chickens.

We also have a place for your green waste! If you have coffee grinds, or tea bags, fruits and vegetables, we'll take them to make soil for our plants.
