Edna Home Group

Edna group is not a "comfortable" group.

Edna group is a group of young adults (and a few even older folks) who are challenged to live lives of authenticity, faith and justice.

  • We care about our Oakland community and want to see it redeemed.
  • We live our lives inspired by the Gospel, rooted in the Cross, and obedient to the teachings of Jesus.
  • We're committed to being vulnerable with each other.
  • We are committed to taking risks and being uncomfortable--together!--by following the words that Jesus said.
  • We can be slightly (slightly!) irreverent.

Who (or what) is Edna?

Edna visited our group when we started up a year ago. We were feeling silly and joked that we should name the group after her. Even though she's not around anymore, the name stuck. And we kept it because, well, we like her. And the name. If your name is Edna, it's probably mandatory that you join our group.
